Even seasoned weather forecasters aren’t immune to the antics of intrusive computer notifications. In the midst of a live forecast on KCCI News in Iowa, the meteorologist, Metinka Slater, found herself unexpectedly interrupted by a pesky pop-up from Microsoft. Slater turned the technical hiccup into a lighthearted part of her presentation.

With a touch of humor, Slater read the notification aloud and quipped, “Don’t you love when that pops up?” before seamlessly transitioning back to her weather forecast. In a masterful display of professionalism and wit, she managed to defuse the awkward situation.
