With their sights set on a congressional candidate from Arizona, the hosts instead found themselves in conversation with Massachusetts state senator Barbara L’Italien, who, coincidentally, was also vying for a congressional seat.

L’Italien seized the moment to fervently critique President Trump’s immigration policy and voice her opposition to ICE. The hosts quickly recognized the mix-up but decided to let the interview unfold, albeit briefly. However, it wasn’t long before producers discreetly muted L’Italien’s microphone, and the show’s hosts gracefully transitioned to their next segment.
