In the realm of live news broadcasting, where unpredictability is the norm, a bat attack is undoubtedly an unexpected twist. Yet, the KFOX14/CBS4 studios in North Mesa recently experienced precisely such an unforeseen phenomenon. These winged creatures had made the building their home, sowing chaos and, on occasion, crashing headlong into newscasts.

This week, co-anchor Robert Holguin took to social media to recount their ongoing ordeal, revealing that not one but two bats had swooped in to disrupt their 9 pm newscast. It was just the latest chapter in the ongoing saga of these uninvited guests, who have previously caused morning show mayhem and even forced the station to temporarily cease its broadcast.
