#35: William Howard Taft – Steak
William Howard Taft seemed destined for the presidency, following a well-trodden path of Yale University graduates climbing the political ranks to the Oval Office. As the 27th president of the United States, Taft also holds a unique distinction—he was the heaviest president in history, tipping the scales at 332 pounds.

His weight might have been influenced by his favorite food: steak. But unlike most people who enjoy steak as an occasional indulgence, Taft reportedly made it a daily ritual. In fact, he couldn’t start his mornings without a hearty 12-ounce steak, setting the tone for his famously robust appetite.
