#6: Leave It Be
This piece of survival advice is useful but most likely extremely hard to follow in a moment of panic. Most of us know that if someone gets stabbed or impaled by an object, it’s best to leave it in until professional medical help is on the scene. You don’t want to pull out the offending object because that can cause more bleeding and damage.

We have a feeling this piece of advice is easier said than done. Most people don’t think straight when they’re injured or experiencing a traumatic situation. It’s human instinct to immediately try to get rid of the thing causing extreme pain. Hopefully, none of us have to be in a situation like this.
