#46: Healthy Bones Need Milk
This survival tip is kind of gross and perhaps impractical, but it works. Someone shared that if you cut off your finger and are able to retrieve it, don’t put it on ice. Instead, put it in a baggy of milk. We sincerely apologize for creating that extremely gross visual. As disturbing as this fun fact is, it’s also true.

Cow’s milk preserves the nerve endings of your imaginary detached finger. If you put the finger on ice, the nerve endings will die, and it can’t be reattached. We imagine milk would be the last thing on our minds if we lost our finger, but hey, who are we to judge?
