#44: Is Birch the Best?

Birch tree bark is highly flammable and burns quickly, making it an excellent fire starter. Use birch bark when you’re out camping or need a fast-burning fire out in the wild. However, most people recommend that you mix birch with other types of wood because it burns quickly, making your fire die in a matter of minutes. 

Overall, birch is a great wood to burn if you have a fireplace or firepit. Just make sure you mix it with other types of slower-burning wood, like oak. If you burn only birch, your fire will be wild and won’t emit much heat.
