#20: A Magical Web of Health
Many people are afraid of spiders, but they’re actually pretty cool creatures. Next time you accidentally walk into a cobweb and get freaked out, remember this cool first-aid hack. Cobwebs contain naturally occurring coagulants. That means that cobwebs can stop a wound from bleeding if wrapped around an injury.

This isn’t new knowledge. Spiderwebs have been used as bandages for centuries. There is evidence that ancient Romans and Greeks used cobwebs on their injured soldiers to stop bleeding. They also used honey and vinegar to clean wounds. We’re not going to start collecting the cobwebs around our house, but it’s a pretty cool, fun fact to throw out at parties.
