#2: Be Weird, Be Rude
This survival tip is a bit vague, but it makes complete sense. Someone advised that it’s extremely important to trust your instincts. If you have a bad feeling about an area or a particular person, get away from them as fast as possible. Many of us are conditioned to be polite and appeasing even if a situation or person is uncomfortable.

We have instincts for a reason. If you feel like you’re in a dangerous situation, don’t worry about being “rude” or “looking dumb.” Get off the bus, cross to the other side of the road, and learn to say “no” in situations that feel stressful. The judgment of others won’t save you from a creep following you home or a weird Lyft driver.
