#11: Beware of Bears

Most of us have an innate fear of bears, and it’s understandable. They may look cute from afar, but they can be lethal if you encounter one up close and personal. No one wants that. Someone shared a nifty way to remember how to react around different bears if you see them in the wild. Here it goes. If it’s black, fight back. If it’s brown, lie down.

Fight back and make yourself appear large and aggressive if you encounter a black bear. Is it a brown bear? Lie down and play dead. Whatever you do, don’t run. Running away from a bear encourages them to give chase. No one wants that. Oh, and the last part of that nifty survival phrase? If it’s white, goodnight. Basically, if you run into a polar bear, you’re toast. Sorry!
