#8: Don’t Touch
There is no denying that in public, people of color are often treated vastly differently from Caucasian people. Whilst some people haven’t ever seen these differences play out in their own lives, that doesn’t mean that this isn’t someone’s lived experience.

It is a parent’s job to tell their children how to act in certain situations in order to keep them out of trouble. But being told not to touch anything you’re not planning on buying from a young age isn’t something every child is told out of fear of getting in trouble.
