This entry also connects nicely to the one above. English is one of the most difficult languages to learn, as it has many rules and a trillion exceptions to each of these rules! Take, for example, the past tense. For some words, you can just add /ed/ to the end of them, like “walked” or “talked.”

But then you have irregular verbs like “go,” which becomes “went.” There’s no clear reason why we can’t just say “goed,” it’s just a rule that you have to learn. And don’t get me started on pronunciation – why are there so many silent letters?! So, anyone who even tries to learn this language should get praise.
