A study by the Joint Commission found that over 60% of minority healthcare workers reported experiencing some form of discrimination, including being passed over for promotions, being paid less, and being subjected to a hostile work environment.

This is unacceptable and goes against the core principles of the healthcare industry, which is supposed to serve and care for all people, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Addressing this issue and promoting diversity and inclusion in healthcare workplaces is crucial for the well-being of POC hospital workers and the patients they serve.
