#16: Randomly Chosen
So far, we’ve learned about many of the issues that black people and Mexican individuals face. But even “white-passing” POC, such as Middle Eastern individuals, face similar discriminatory issues in America. There’s no point calling it a “random check” on passengers when it’s clearly anything but. Sure, they might choose a white person occasionally.

But these cases are far few between – instead, the TSA agents will almost always select an ethnic-looking person as the “random check.” There are even cases of a person being “randomly checked” in an airport more than once. Mathematically speaking, the chances of that happening so frequently are very low!
