#22: Feeling Small? Me, Too.
Maybe the true fear of megalophobia is how tiny and insignificant we are compared to the large items around us. Take this image of an astronaut hovering above earth, for example. The world is such an insanely ginormous place; it’s hard to truly understand how big it is until we see a comparison.

Earth is 7,917 miles wide, with a 24,901-mile circumference. Those numbers mean so little, but think of it this way. It would take 24,000,000 average-sized humans holding hands to encircle our planet. That’s scary enough, but over 1.3 million Earths would fit inside the sun. We humans are tiny, tiny specs of dust in the vast universe and nothing will ever change that.
