#12: Titanic Iceberg
No, that is not the iceberg that sunk the Titanic, but the ship was named after a synonym for large, and we couldn’t resist the punny title. Icebergs are incredibly large, and you only see a small portion of one in this photo. They can reach heights of 300 feet above the sea, but their depths are often four or five times that.

You’d think something so significant would be stationary, but icebergs on average move at speeds up around 0.5 miles an hour, though some have been recorded at over 2 miles an hour. If that’s not scary enough, they can weigh up to 200,000 tons. They’re the equivalent of an 18 story building with no driver.
