The Perfect Family

Look, the sad truth is that it’s not uncommon for families and couples to put on a perfect facade on the outside and have a lot of problems on the inside. Some people just like to keep their problems to themselves, and they put on a show for the world for many different reasons.

Maybe they want everyone around them to think their marriage is perfect because they don’t want people to pity them or meddle in their business. Who knows? It is sad, though, that this au pair felt this way; as she mentions, au pairs usually become a part of the family, and it’s sad that, in this case, there was no family to be a part of.
