He’s Got a Point
I’m a little torn on this next story. On the one hand, good on this rich guy for not buying furniture that he didn’t need to fill rooms that he didn’t intend to use. He did not give in to pressure to decorate his house a certain way, thereby wasting a whole bunch of money.

On the other hand, as the writer points out, why would you spend the money to buy a house so large that you’re not even going to use most of it? Surely you could have saved money by buying a house with fewer rooms, and then used the money you saved to treat yourself to several hundred steak dinners or a nice vacation. Come on, man, use your brain.
