Streisand Effect

Have you guys ever heard of the Streisand Effect, where attempts to keep information hidden just make people more curious about it? It’s named after singer and actress Barbra Streisand, who was trying to get photographs of her house taken off the Internet and just ended up making everyone want to look at and spread those pictures around.

I feel like that’s what’s happening with this story. Five minutes ago, I didn’t care even a little bit about this woman’s house. Now that I know that she has tried to keep its location off of Google Maps, I am wild with curiosity to see it. Maybe we should all take a field trip and check it out, even if it’s just to see her platinum reindeer.
