Here’s a tip if you find yourself traveling far from home and spending a lot of money on a card: you may want to see about contacting your bank or credit card company to let them know that you will be traveling. Otherwise, they may look at a large purchase coming from somewhere you’re not normally at and flag it as credit card fraud, causing the charges to be denied.

Now, this is something that I know, even though I’m not rich, I don’t travel that often, and I don’t have a lot of chances to make really big purchases. So if I know that, how do these rich people not know that? Is this their first time traveling or making a major purchase? What’s going on here?
