Feeling fragrant

Not only do we have to contend with bare feet on the seats, zit squeezing in the aisles, and fingernail clippings in our lap, public transportation has more gifts to throw at us. Now, I know we’re all trying to be more sustainable these days, and that plastic packaging is killing the planet and all of our wildlife.

But there is a limit to how “packaging-free” you should go when it comes to fresh food. Not only is it particularly unhygienic to be carrying your dinner around on the tube in the open air, it’s also not so pleasant for your fellow passengers. Even if it is the freshest of fishes, there will be a particular smell that won’t go well with your end-of-the-day coffee.
