In the animated Disney film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Captain Phoebus goes against his superior’s orders and fights in the name of justice and love. It sounds pretty cheesy, but if you watch the movie, it’s one million times even cheesier. Anyway, he’s a likeable enough character, though he’s far from perfect.

While dueling with Esmerelda, he makes the mistake of complimenting her fighting skills, saying that she’s almost as good as a man. Without missing a beat, she responds, “Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you!” And that’s when ancient civilizations realized that they needed burn wards.
