#12: Don’t Get Insurance

Signing up for any new service or product usually involves some upselling. The salespeople are required to pitch the add-ons and encourage you to spend more money. It’s just an annoying part of the process. There are ways to be smart about it. Someone gave important advice when it comes to renting a new storage unit. 

You don’t actually have to sign up for the insurance offered by the storage unit company. They usually make it sound like insurance is required, but that’s not the case. If you’re looking to save money, you can opt-out. Don’t let them pressure you into spending more money!
