This is an odd song choice to play at a wedding. A playlist for a wedding should be composed of upbeats, cheerful and romantic songs. A love song lamenting the loss of a lover isn’t a common choice for a wedding. As a rule, you want something people can dance to, rather than something people would cry to.

It seems the guest list of this wedding included one of the bride’s exes. While he may have been going for a comedic effect, his decision to belt out this song left enough people eyeing him that he was escorted outside of the venue. Hopefully, the DJ took that as a good hint not to play that song again.
