Nice to Meet You

Meeting people for the first time can be awkward, but this has got to be the most awkward first-meeting story we’ve heard in a while. Do you shake hands? Do you hug? When you’re in the midst of trying to congratulate them and meet them for the first time, sometimes you make a mistake. This poor person absolutely took the wrong steps but thankfully, it wasn’t that big of a deal.

I’m sure it wasn’t the first time the event organizer received an overexuberant hello from a party-goer. However, I’m curious how long he waited to leap in, as a few context clues may have helped out. At least it sounds like the family just chuckled and kept going. Plus, it sounds like the couple broke up, so he doesn’t have to relieve the awkward event ever again. We hope their breakup didn’t have anything to do with this incident!
