Putting His Foot in His Mouth
There’s a reason why people have rehearsal dinners. You’re supposed to practice how your wedding day would look like, and for some that should include a little read-through of the speeches. Brides are naturally glowing and happy on their wedding day but it’s good for everyone to remember that she’s literally getting married that day and it’s not the time to express an interest in her. Especailly if you’re the father-in-law.

It’s one thing to approve of your future daughter-in-law, it’s an entirely different thing to be attracted to her. It’s so much worse to then declare that attraction to her, in front of everyone, including your son, on their wedding day. Just what ,exactly, was he thinking? Also, this is one story that I would love an update on.
