Repeat After Me: I Do
Weddings aren’t exactly something that happens without notice. Someone has to ask, someone has to accept, dates get set. Dresses and tuxedos are purchased. Dinners are planned. In other words, there’s plenty of time to sit down and have a heart-to-heart with your future spouse. The middle of the ceremony is not the time to finally gather your strength.

While, of course, you should absolutely not go through with a wedding if you’re not sure that’s what you want, you should end it long before you’ve walked down the aisle. Unless the groom was hoping to humiliate the bride by doing this publicly, there’s no reason to wait so long. Plus, you’d think he’d want to spare himself the embarrassment of doing that in front of everyone.
