There are many reasons why people get married in a church; one of the reasons most people often don’t consder is that a church is on land. We could think of dozen different reasosn why getting married on a boat isn’t a great idea – and the bride’s ring falling into the lake isn’t even at the top of that list. We’d probably worry about sea sickness.

We hope they were able to retrieve the ring somehow, although it doesn’t seem very likely. Did someone dive into the lake in order to look for it? Even if they did, what are the chances they found it? Losing your wedding ring is not how you want your marriage to start, but at least they now have a kind-of-a-funny story to share.
