Ah, smoking: the habit that Hollywood and commercials worked for years to convince us was glamorous and cool, and then elementary schools worked for years to convince us was unhealthy and dangerous. All that education seems to have worked; in 2018, cigarette smoking reached an all-time low among adults in the United States. That’s affected a few things, including your car.

Remember these? Smoking used to be so ubiquitous that every car was outfitted with ashtrays and cigarette lighters. Of course, most kids weren’t smoking, so mostly we just played with the cigarette lighters. This could be a pretty dangerous undertaking if the cigarette lighter was hot. Kids today will never know what this was like; these days, cigarette lighters have been removed from cars to make way for things like extra audio ports.

Whether it was enjoyable or less than appealing, high school is one of the most formative periods in one’s life, and there is no denying it. But it isn’t until you find yourself out of high school, and in the real world that you begin to realize that just because something was considered normal, didn’t mean that it actually was… Once again Jimmy Fallon has invited people to share their craziest stories from high school with the hashtag #MyHighSchoolWasWeird. There is nothing quite like being in high school… When you’re there, you wish that you weren’t, and once you leave you wish that you had never left. Where else in the world are you allowed, in fact, encouraged to play pranks on other students and teachers?

But why is it whenever kids are given permission to do something they take it to a whole other level? It is customary for many schools to give their graduating students the freedom to perform some pranks on their younger classmates. But there is nothing more genius than to confuse the teachers as well…
