Save Me
An interesting thing about computers is that early OS designers based a lot of features on real-world objects: desktops, file folders, and recycling bins. And when it came to representing the save function, it made perfect sense to use the image of a floppy disk, as that was often what you’d be saving to. But what happens if we lose that real-world point of reference?

So if the young people in your life think they know everything about technology, you can amaze them with your knowledge of what the Save icon actually is.
