Low-Speed Internet

Internet speeds have been rising so quickly lately, even when you’re downloading over your cell phone, that it’s easy to forget that once upon a time, speeds were abysmal. Downloading a picture could take several minutes, and downloading a music file or video file could literally take hours.

This was a problem since many of us got our music by downloading it (legally or illegally) from the Internet. Imagine being in this poster’s shoes and having 17 hours of downloading ruined. What really makes you feel old, though, is the person above the tweet who doesn’t understand why downloading was slow or what Napster was.
