This next story is pretty similar to the one above, as it also involves a parent scamming their child out of college money for themselves. It’s pretty sad how common a story like this is, and it’s even worse that it took the kid so long to realize what had happened.

However, gambling is a form of addiction, and we should approach those suffering from this illness with love and respect. Getting angry, screaming, and shouting will do nothing and certainly won’t bring the money back. These individuals require professional help to overcome what can be a truly nasty addiction.
