One Call

Another target that scammers often go for is elderly people. Often, they lack the critical thinking skills with technology that many of us have become used to. Thankfully, this scam has a happier ending, as the grandma of this story never actually gave up her money. It was smart thinking from the bank teller!

Honestly, it’s a surprise that the grandma didn’t think to call the kids in the first place. Surely you would want to check up on them to ensure they were okay before handing over any of your money?! At least the police stopped by to try and arrest the collector.
