#14: Sleeping on the Job

In case that wasn’t clear to some people, it’s never a good idea to take a nap when babysitting. Children of any age can get into all sorts of trouble, but one-year-olds take the cake when it comes to demolishing things they shouldn’t even be touching. Plus, all the little pieces end up in their mouths as they gnaw and teethe on everything.

I wonder if the babysitter ended up having to pay for the PlayStation? That seems like a fair trade for an hour-long nap with a one-year-old. I know I would pay $500 for an hour-long nap some days. Even 30 minutes would be a welcome rest in the afternoons after endless nights of no sleep. They say to rest when the baby rests, but I’ve yet to figure out how.
