George R. R. Martin

In case you aren’t familiar with the name (which is very unlikely), George R.R. Martin is the author of the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire – which has been adapted to the HBO major hit Game of Thrones. I guess only fans of the fantasy genre were familiar with the author before the HBO hit was released, but today, he’s considered one of the most popular authors of the decade.

As exciting and humbling as it must be to meet him, I think I’d be pretty intimidated talking to him! I don’t think I’d have the guts to spark up a conversation with his genius mastermind; how do you even go about that? According to this person, they had a friendly conversation and even talked about his upcoming book.
