Sleeping in a 12-bed room of teenagers? I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hostel that actually lets you sleep; it’s just not how they work. The whole point of them is to give up your chances of getting any wink of rest in exchange for a wild social experience.

Understandably, the OP was not looking for an experience like this, given he had probably long outgrown it. Poor luck on his part; these sites really need to be clearer about the dates of things to avoid confusion; make you double-check and show them to you before confirming.
