17. Camping in a Waking Dream

Surreal is a good word for the description of this experience; just picturing the scene feels like a strange hallucination. Instead of getting to a good camp zone, having to set up in a fancy but abandoned town… quick, get a microphone and a camera, we have another movie concept on our hands.

Never been to Avalon myself, but it sounds like a pretty miserable if pretty, place to visit. It probably attracts a lot of pretentious tourists or just people who live nearby and want to see somewhere different. Definitely not the ideal place for camping, sadly.
