A Glimmer of Hope

Despite what it may seem like, not all of these stories ended badly and not all managers are bad people. In fact, this story made us sad that this individual wasn’t able to work past their first day. When they showed up to what was supposed to be a summer temp job, they quickly found it was a full-time role, which they couldn’t accept since they were a student.

Although the shop foreman understood the situation, he offered this person and the group they came in with one day of paid work if they were interested. They had a great time learning how furniture was made and ended up building friendships with one another that would last beyond that first and last day.
