Lesson Learned

With zero training from their manager, this person set out on their first retail job with high hopes. After successfully helping a customer with an item, they asked their manager to show them how to use the tills. Seems reasonable enough on your first day on the job, right? Their manager didn’t seem to think so.

Although that’s a traumatic first-day experience, it taught this person a valuable lesson that they’re now passing on to others: don’t waste your time being miserable. Eventually, this person watched as their coworkers all left one by one as well over the next few weeks due to the toxic environment.
