#28: Sink or Sinkhole?

If we’ve learned anything from these photos, it’s that apartments are notorious for using cheap supplies and cheap installs. Why would an apartment dweller want nice things, after all? This poor tenant had the worst surprise ever when they went to wash their dishes one day. The sink completely separated from the cheap countertop, leaving them with a gaping hole and a non-functioning sink.

Turns out, this sink wasn’t properly installed in their kitchen. It was just glued to the bottom of the counter! Who would think to do this?! Most sinks are drop-ins, and there should be aspects that are screwed in underneath to secure them. Whoever did this was clearly instructed to get it done as fast as possible and as cheap as possible. Apartments can be truly frustrating sometimes.
