You Are Not The Father

In all honesty, people put a bit too much stock into differentiating between biological and adopted families. Of course, it must’ve been a shock to find out that you’re actually the product of a sperm donation instead of being your father’s genetic son. However, why should that matter in reality?

In the grand scheme of things, this guy’s father is his recently deceased one and not the sperm donor. Just because they share a link doesn’t mean that they’re related. Over half our genetic code is the same as a banana’s – I don’t think we should start calling them Mom!
