Problematic Present

As a child, you often see the world through rose-tinted glasses, with everything seeming a lot better than it is. I can totally imagine the child in this one feeling devastated when their parents told them to return the $1000 racetrack. As an adult, they were probably quite grateful their parents did this!

It’s strange to see how many times mobs and the mafia have popped up on this list. I assumed that they would keep themselves secretive, but they seem to be more involved in people’s lives than you would first think. Another lesson learned – don’t immediately accept any expensive gifts from strangers!
