Look What the Cat Dragged In

Losing a pet can be a deeply traumatic experience for anyone. Even if you haven’t lost a pet of your own, it’s normal to be affected by the grief a friend is experiencing as you try to support them through the loss of their pet. That’s what happened to the writer of this story, who was struggling to support a friend after that friend’s beloved cat of many years went missing.

While trying to provide a helping ear for their friend, our storyteller vaguely remembered something about the friend’s cat previously going off on an adventure for a few days and wound up at a barbecue restaurant. That’s what happened this time around, too. The weird thing is – his friend had never told him about the previous incident with the cat and the barbecue place. How in the world did he know that?
