#55: You Gotta Love Loveable Jerks

I simply adore this story. I’m glad he never cashed the check. Letting his old manager/owner have the last laugh is a truly epic thing to do. I bet he found it super amusing, and obviously, this poster still thinks about it pretty often. I wonder if he framed it in his house?

The real question is why he never cashed it, to begin with. You’d think that $200 years ago would be worth heading straight for the bank, especially as a broke college kid working in an old movie theater. Maybe something happened, and we are only getting part of the story.
