#14: Blood Alert

Donating blood is a selfless act and helps save millions of lives. If you’ve ever donated blood, know that you’ve helped a lot of people and that you’re braver than you think. Once you’ve donated blood, you probably got a sticker, some juice and a cookie, or maybe even a gift card. However, people in Sweden get something a little sweeter.

As this person pointed out, in Sweden, the donor gets a text when their blood is used to save a life. This way, the donor knows that their bravery was worthwhile! Donors will receive a text saying, “Thanks! The blood you donated has now been put to good use on a patient!” How cool is that? Way better than a cookie, in our opinion.
