When Bugs Life Kept Things Too Real
Here’s one of the most underrated Pixar movies! A Bug’s Life is truly a masterpiece of animation. Although making this 2000s icon was no sweet ride; the production required 23 animators, 60 shots, 270 models and shaders, and 1,055 feet more than Toy Story.

The movie was responsible for breaking into a new era of animation technology. The Gypsy’s moth ruff includes 15,000 individual hairs, and accurately, all of the flies’ wings beat 129.6 times per second. How is that for details? To say A Bug’s Life took computer animation technology to another level is an understatement.
