All Thanksgiving, All the Time
I guess that if there is one thing that could be considered a downside of Thanksgiving, it’s that whoever is in charge of making the meal is almost certainly going to have neither the time nor the bandwidth to make any other meals.

Any shopping, prep, or cooking that’s going to be done in the first part of the week is all in preparation for the Thanksgiving meal. And when the meal is over, there will be no cooking for a few more days, since your mother (or whoever it is) is completely burned out, and also because the fridge is going to be so full of leftovers that there’s no room for other food.
