Social media has made it easier for the common folk to interact with A-list celebrities, authors, and musicians. However, before you go lecturing someone who is a world-renowned master of their craft, perhaps take a step back and think, “Should I post this?” Sadly, Three Year Letterman didn’t do that, but his foolish mistake became our source of entertainment.

Lisa Leland did an excellent job of explaining how wrong Three Year Letterman was. She did so in such a way that most online strangers wouldn’t: kindly and with a life lesson at the end. Don’t try to spell-check a man who’s sold over 350 million books worldwide. Chances are, you’d be wrong.
