Testy Couple

They say that marriage is all about teamwork and trust, but when it comes to the legal system, those ideals can be put to the test. As someone married for a few years, I can’t imagine ever being forced to testify against my partner in court. But according to the stats, it happens quite frequently.

In fact, over 20% of married couples have to testify against each other in court at some point in their lives. I don’t know about you, but the thought of being cross-examined by my significant other’s lawyer sounds like a recipe for disaster. It’s a good thing we’re both law-abiding citizens… I hope.
