Miranda Rights

If you’ve ever watched a cop show or a crime drama, you’re probably familiar with the Miranda rights – “you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have the right to an attorney, etc.” But have you ever wondered why they’re called Miranda rights?

His case made its way to the Supreme Court, which ultimately ruled that the police had not informed Miranda of his rights before questioning him and that his confession was, therefore, inadmissible. The more you know!
